Who polish and cut the emeralds?

The art of cutting and polishing Colombian emeralds requires the experience of highly trained carvers who have dedicated their lives to this specialty. These artisans meticulously study the shape, size and inclusions of raw glass, considering these factors to determine the optimal cut that will maximize the beauty of the stone.

Each emerald is unique and depends on the ability of the carving can highlight the character of the gem, making sure that there is no more perfect emerald, and if necessary, leave two emeralds as equal as possible.

How a Colombian emerald is carved
